M2-muscarinic receptor activation does not alter the Gi-effect on β2AR-mediated smooth muscle relaxation.

Shown are experiments where isolated tracheal rings were pretreated with 0.1 μM pilocarpine (pilo) or vehicle, contracted with 60 mM KCl, and then exposed to increasing concentrations of isoproterenol. The brackets clarify the effects of pilocarpine compared with vehicle, which were not significantly different, in the NTG and Gαi2-OE groups (n = 4 experiments).
