(B) In contrast, PCW stimulation was followed by DNA fragmentation into approximately 180-bp pieces. (C) Exposure of BMECs to pneumococci (107 CFU/ml) resulted in a loss of mitochondrial (MIT) AIF over time and a shift into the cytosol (CYT) after 6 hours.
