IR protein levels in insulin-sensitive tissues. Aliquots (5 and 15 μg total protein) of quadriceps (muscle), epididymal white adipose tissue, and liver homogenates from WT and c-Cbl–deficient mice were resolved by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with antibodies specific for the β subunit of the IR (βIR) and syntaxin4 (SYN4). The fold increase in protein levels observed in c-Cbl–/– mice compared with WT animals, as well as the result of the statistical analysis of the data, is shown at the right of each lane. These values represent the average of 6–12 animals in each group.
