Diagnosis of cervical tuberculous lymphadenitis (CTL), the most commonly occurring form of
extrapulmonary tuberculosis, remains as a challenge in clinic. Detection of the presence of
Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) in fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) samples is one
