Group B streptococcus (GBS) is a leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality.
Multilocus sequence typing (MLST) revealed that the sequence type ST-17 defines a “highly
virulent” serotype III clone strongly associated with neonatal invasive infections. Our aim was
