Incretins such as glucagon-like peptide-1 and gastric inhibitory polypeptide/glucose-
dependent insulinotropic peptide are known to potentiate insulin secretion mainly through a
cAMP/protein kinase A (PKA) signaling pathway in pancreatic β-cells, but the mechanism is
