Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is extremely useful for visualizing microglial,
oligodendrocytic, astrocytic, and neuronal subcellular compartments (dendrite, dendritic
spine, axon, axon terminal, perikaryon), as well as their intracellular organelles and
cytoskeleton, in the central nervous system at high spatial resolution. Combined with TEM,
