The data collection from cohort subjects at baseline is the core work for prospective study as
well as follow-up. The data obtained from questionnaire is usually served as baseline data
in most prospective studies. However these data are subjective and can be unreliable in
some factors. More objective information is useful and thus human materials such as blood,
tissue and toenail are frequently collected and stored for future use in prospective studies.
