Abstract Background The nucleus accumbens (NAc) controls multiple facets of impulsivity
but is a heterogeneous brain region with diverse microcircuitry. Prior literature links
impulsive behavior in rodents to gamma-aminobutyric acid signaling in the NAc. Here, we
