Integrins are receptors for extracellular matrix proteins that engage in reciprocal crosstalk
with growth factor receptors. Recent work identifies a unique mechanism for the regulation of
growth factor receptor phosphorylation by integrins, indicating multiple ways of achieving
cooperation between these major signalling systems.
