BACKGROUND: Platelet glycoprotein VI (GPVI) is elevated in patients with acute coronary
syndrome (ACS), stroke and associated with acute coronary events. GPVI may be helpful to
distinguish an imminent ACS from non-coronary (NC) causes in patients with chest pain who
