BACKGROUND:: Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) histocompatibility is not considered when
placing donor allografts for lung transplantation. We previously reported that fewer individual
Class I (HLA-A and-B) and Class II (HLA-DR) antigen mismatches (MM) correlated with
