Glucagon and insulin have opposing action in governing glucose homeostasis. In type 2
diabetes mellitus (T2DM), plasma glucagon is characteristically elevated, contributing to
increased gluconeogenesis and hyperglycemia. Therefore, glucagon receptor (GCGR)
