Necrosis. After io days of treatment, centrilobular necrosis and hydropic degeneration of
hepatocytes had developed, with accumulation of mesenchymal cells and moderate central
and midzonal steatosis. Reticulin and aniline blue stained fibers were increased in the
necrotic central zones (Fig. i). Many labeled hepatocytes were evident (Fig. 2). Labeling of
