INTRODUCTION: In 2005–2006, during the Chikungunya virus outbreak in La Réunion
(Indian Ocean), we urgently established the molecular and serological methods for the
diagnosis of Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) from various types of samples. METHODS: CHIKV
