In this review attention is focused on the role of prostaglandins (pGs) in the hypothalamus
and pituitary in control of gonadotropin secretion, and in the control of ovulation,
luteinization, and corpus luteum regression. The role of prostaglandins in uterine function,
fetal-placental function and par turition is not reviewed here.
