Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) is a receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) first discovered as
the constitutively active nucleophosmin-ALK oncoprotein in anaplastic large cell lymphomas
(ALCL). Full-length ALK has a critical role in normal development and differentiation.
