Standard texts describe human autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD) as
a cystic kidney disease in which lesions are localized to collecting tubules. Murine models of
ARPKD consistently demonstrate an early phase of proximal tubular (PT) cystic involvement,
