Summary
Anti-IL-5 is efficacious in treating patients with severe asthma and sputum eosinophilia and hypereosinophilic syndromes. Larger controlled trials with appropriate endpoints will be necessary to assess the role of anti-IL-5 in other eosinophilic disorders.
