At present, there are 2 types of LC ablation murine models. The first uses mice that express
enhanced green fluorescent protein (eGFP) fused with a diphtheria toxin (DT) receptor
(DTR) under the control of the langerin promoter, which are known as langerineGFP-DTR
mice, 3, 4 and langerin-DTR mice. 6-8 In these knock-in mice, both LCs and langerin-
