BACKGROUND: Orally administered, food-specific immunotherapy appears effective in
desensitizing and potentially permanently tolerizing allergic individuals. OBJECTIVE: We
sought to determine whether milk oral immunotherapy (OIT) is safe and efficacious in
desensitizing children with cow's milk allergy. METHODS: Twenty children were randomized
