BACKGROUND: Despite preliminary evidence, the role of probiotics in allergy prevention is
unclear. OBJECTIVE: To determine whether early probiotic supplementation prevents
allergic disease in high-risk infants. METHODS: Newborns of women with allergy (n= 231)
