Myb transcription factors are crucial to the control of proliferation and differentiation in a
number of cell types but their mechanism of action is unclear. Regulation of Myb proteins by
phosphorylation and intermolecular cooperation has recently been demonstrated, together
with a new role for the proteins, in the control of apoptosis.
