BACKGROUND: Development of niacin-like agents that favorably affect lipids with an
improved flushing profile would be beneficial. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate a niacin receptor
partial agonist, MK-0354, in Phase I and II studies. METHODS: The pharmacokinetic/
