We recently reported that the rat asialoglycoprotein receptor binds oligosaccharides
terminating with sialic acid (Sia) α2, 6GalNAc. Despite a high percentage of identical amino
acids in their sequences, orthologues of the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGP-R) in
