By using the highly sensitive and specific technique of enzyme-linked immunosorbent
assay, we investigated the presence and amount of transforming growth factor-β2 (TGF-β2)
in samples of aqueous humor obtained from 15 patients who had a clinically established
diagnosis of advanced primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), as well as from ten age-
