We investigated the possible roles of centrally administered neuropeptide Y (NPY) on
gastric secretion, serum gastrin levels and gastric mucosal blood flow in anesthetized rats.
Centrally administered NPY dose-dependently stimulated gastric acid and pepsin secretion.
The stimulatory effect of intracerebroventricular administration of NPY was more potent than
