Infection by HIV can occur through intimate sexual activity, contact with contaminated blood
or blood products, and transmission from mother to child [1]. Importantly, the virus is
infectious as a free particle or in association with virus-infected cells. The latter entity is
found in genital fluids at greater quantities than free infectious virions [2]. In seminal fluid, for
