Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) can establish latent infection following
provirus integration into the host genome. NF-κB plays a critical role in activation of HIV-1
gene expression by cytokines and other stimuli, but the signal transduction pathways that
regulate the switch from latent to productive infection have not been defined. Here, we show
