Methods Six normal non-allergic, six allergic asthmatic and seven non-allergic asthmatic
subjects, whose clinical details arc summarised in Table 1, were studied All subjects gave
their informed consent and the study was approved by the local Ethical Committee.
Asthmatic subjects omitted bronchodilators and sodium crúmoglycate fur 8 h prior to each
