Past history: The patient (cf. Fig. 1), a female, was born, weighing 2,700 g, with pelvic
presentation after full-term pregnancy and spontaneous delivery. She had a normal course
of physiologic jaundice. Present illness: The patient was fed on mother's milk, but
complained of difficulty in sucking and vomiting soon after birth. She had a tendency to have
frequent attacks of fever of unknown origin. The patient was admitted to our Clinic at the age
of 2 months, because of failure to gain weight andsevere vomiting.
