Objective: To determine the incidence, time course, and clinical importance of spontaneous
reperfusion of cerebral infarcts in patients with acute stroke. Design: Prospective, community
based. Setting: Department of Neurology, Bispebjerg Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark.
