Publisher Summary Animal models, including guinea pigs, monkeys, rats, and mice are
used to study the pathogenesis of asthma. Mouse models of allergic lung disease are
utilized to dissect the complex pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the asthma
phenotype. The airways of patients with even mild asthma are inflamed, and some data
