The hepatic CYP4A enzymes are important fatty acid and prostaglandin ω-hydroxylases that
are highly inducible by fibric acid hypolipidemic agents and other peroxisome proliferators.
Induction of the CYP4A enzymes by peroxisome proliferators is mediated through the
