The congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG) are genetic diseases due to disturbances in
the assembly or processing of N-or/and O-glycans (carbohydrate moiety of
glycoconjugates), first reported in 1980. 1 Previously called carbohydratedeficient
glycoconjugate syndromes, it was agreed at the First International Workshop on CDG in
