Melatonin and enterochromaffine cells
NT Raikhlin, IM Kvetnoy - Acta Histochemica, 1976 - Elsevier

cells of gastrointestinal tract. It is suggested to unify epiphysis and enterochromaffine cells
into a united functionally active neuroendocrine system, which plays an important role in the
control of rhythms of biological processes in the body.
