Inflammatory cardiomyopathy, ie myocarditis in association with cardiac dysfunction [ 1], in
adolescents and adults may have disparate clinical presentations, including (a) acute onset
of symptoms mimicking those of myocardial infarction [2–3];(b) cardiac insufficiency of acute
or insidious onset that may develop into dilated cardiomyopathy [ 4]; and (c) sudden
