Lipid and glucose metabolism are adversely affected by diabetes, a disease characterized
by pancreatic β-cell dysfunction. To clarify the role of lipids in insulin secretion, we
generated mice with β-cell-specific overexpression (βLPL-TG) or inactivation (βLPL-KO) of
