Hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) either stays in quiescence or proliferates toward
differentiation for the production of mature blood cells, or toward self-renewal for giving rise
to itself. In order to both maintain a supply of mature blood cells and not exhaust HSCs
throughout the lifetime of an individual, under steady state, most HSCs remain quiescent
