Background/Aims: Auto-immune hepatitis patients are divided into two well-defined
subgroups on the basis of immunoserological markers, ie anti-actin cable and/or anti-
nuclear antibodies for the auto-immune hepatitis type 1, anti-liver/kidney microsome type 1
