H istochemical and electron microscopic studies of muscle diseases of children have led to
the recognition and elucidation of a number of congenital myopathies.'-!'We will describe two
brothers with a congenital, nonprogressive myopathy characterized by a pathologic
alteration of. the sarcotubular system. A similar pathologic change has not been found in
association with any morphologically distinct congenital myopathies described to date.
