Diabetic cardiac dysfunction is associated with decreased rates of myocardial glucose
oxidation (GO) and increased fatty acid oxidation (FAO), a fuel shift that has been shown to
sensitize the heart to ischemic insult and ventricular dysfunction. We sought to evaluate the
