Tetrodotoxin (TTX), first isolated from pufferfish (tetraodontids), is a highly potent neurotoxin
that selectively binds to voltage-gated sodium channels (Na v) in muscle and nerve tissues
causing paralysis and death. Saxitoxin (STX) is a TTX-related neurotoxin produced by
