To better understand the role of disrupted transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) signaling in
fibrosis, we have selectively expressed a kinase-deficient human type II TGFβ receptor
(TβRIIΔk) in fibroblasts of transgenic mice, using a lineage-specific expression cassette
