Cystic fibrosis is a multi-system lethal genetic disorder. Mutations in the gene that encodes
for the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) are the basis of this
disorder. Currently, a variety of CF mouse models have been developed for in-depth studies.
