Background: The endothelial protein C receptor (EPCR)-dependent cleavage of protease
activated receptor 1 (PAR-1) by either activated protein C (APC) or thrombin in lipid rafts
initiates protective signaling responses in endothelial cells. Objectives: To investigate the
