Epidemiological studies have indicated that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) may have some therapeutic effect in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and experimental studies have shown that microglia activation by Aβ-peptide (Aβ) can be influenced by NSAIDs.
