BACKGROUND: Hyperhomocysteinemia (Hhcy) has been shown to induce endothelial
dysfunction due to a decrease in bioavailable nitric oxide (NO) by increased vascular
oxidant stress. This can be detected as an impairment of endothelium-dependent
