The effects of synthetic human pancreatic (tumor) GH Releasing Factor, hpGRF, and a
partially purified rat hypothalamic GRF, rhGRF, on secretion of GH by primary cultures of rat
pituitary cells are reported to be inhibited noncompetitively by somatostatin. Dexamethasone
and triiodothyronine pretreatment enhance the response to hpGRF.
