The asialoglycoprotein-receptor (ASGP-R) located on liver parenchymal cells was originally
identified and characterized on the basis of its ability to bind glycoproteins bearing terminal
galactose (Gal) or N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc); however, endogenous ligands for the
